Pub 500 to Host BOOMCHICKAPOP® Belgian Style Farmhouse Popcorn Ale Draft Release Party

Mankato, MN (April 4, 2016)—Two Minnesota companies, Mankato Brewery and Angie’s Boomchickapop, teamed up to create what’s believed to be the first commercially produced beer brewed with air-popped popcorn. Pub 500: Mankato’s First Safe Bar

MANKATO, MN (March 21, 2016)—Pub 500 is the first Mankato bar to be certified by the Safe Bar Initiative and has been for one year. The Safe Bar Initiative is a prevention effort to help reduce sexual harassment/violence in local bars by training the staff at establishments in bystander intervention. Minnesota Pub Allows Female Patrons to Order Up a Pregnancy Test Along with a Cold Brew

MANKATO, MN (September 16, 2012)—Pub 500 in conjunction with Healthy Brains for Children, a locally-based nonprofit, are working together to reduce alcohol-related birth defects. Pub 500 has installed a new pregnancy test dispenser in the women’s restroom and donates all of the money from the machine to Healthy Brains for Children. Healthy Brains for Children’s executive director and co-founder Jody Allen Crowe said that the response to the machine has been “tremendous and international.” Read More
